About Me

sue and dad cropHi,
welcome to Suziwong Creations; thanks for stopping by. I’m Suzi Wong…or more commonly known as Su, Sue, Susan, Suzi or Suze depending on where and when you know me from LOL. As a little girl, my dad called me Suzi Wong after the 1960′s movie The World of Suzie Wong with Nancy Kwan and William Holden. I’m not of Chinese heritage and nor am I a prostitute :-P

I’m mother to Miss 20 and Miss 17 and partner to Mr Suziwong. I’m also a full-time education student doing an honours research project on the classroom management practices of beginning teachers in terms of inappropriate/unproductive student behaviour. Eventually I’d like to do a PhD, but first things first.

This website is mostly about my cooking adventures and the progress/development of my potted herb/vegetable garden.  I haven’t always loved to cook (but have always loved to eat!). After Mr Suziwong and I had our daughters, we couldn’t afford to go to restaurants every night of the week, so cooking become a necessity.

Although I’m not a native South Australian, I’m proud to say this is a South Australian blog.  The produce here is fabulous and where ever possible I try to use locally grown produce.

Learning about food and cooking has been a journey with lots of failures, some successes and a few amazing successes :) Somewhere along the journey I began to love to cook.  So come back often and share my cooking journey; feel free to leave a comment, i’d love to hear from you.

cheers
Su
