Lazy lunches and good friends

My good friend Jenny came to Adelaide this past weekend…it was wonderful to see her and and spend time together catching up. On Sunday we drove up thorugh the Barossa Valley and stopped for lunch at my favourite spot; the Pheasant Farm Shop. This photo is of Jenny and Caitlin enjoying the serenity. On Friday night we went to Central Markets to have dinner at Lucia’s and then went to the Chocolate Bean for dessert (Hazelnut tart to die for) and coffee. It’s a wonder any food got into any mouths as we were talking non-stop for hours!

I love summer…(and dread winter)…the wonderful flowers in bloom and the great weather. The red flower photo was taken outside the Pheasant Farm Shop and the yellow flowers were taken inside.

The time with Jenny went far too quick; which is always the case when catching up with friends who live with distance between them. Email/blogs/msn etc are all wonderful technologies to help keep friendships close, but nothing beats the real McCoy of being together. Many of my friendships are long distance relationships as we are a very mobile family; so it’s even more special when i get together with my long distance friends. Jenny: thanks for coming, we all had a wonderful time and will miss you until we see you again. I miss all of my long distance friends and look forward to many more get-togethers!
